Automagic
I finally got around to rewriting my ancient automation daemon project to run on Sailfish, in case someone wants to repurpose an old phone for home automation.
While it's built for Sailfish OS, the Go binary is perfectly happy running on a Raspberry Pi, so it doesn't technically have to be a phone at all.
Automagic is an event-driven automation daemon and app. Built with a Go backend and a Python/QML frontend, it hooks directly into the system and session D-Bus to monitor hardware and OS-level events. It can also use timers to poll HTTP API endpoints.
Users can define custom Data Sources, Triggers, Actions, and Flows to create automated routines. It currently supports D-Bus, MQTT, and HTTP sources and actions.
Warning: Very experimental. The daemon runs as root. Use at your own risk.
